Chick-fil-A 5K Run/Walk Benefiting Junior Achievement Labor Day at AutoZone Park Monday, September 7, 2009 THANK YOU!!! To the more than 1,700 runners participating in this year's event: thank you for making this the largest and most successful event we've ever experienced! ... for the annual Chick-fil-A 5K Run/Walk benefiting Junior Achievement of Memphis!  This year marks our 7th year hosting what the Memphis Runners and Track Club has dubbed one of the area's best 5K events.  We mix in food, rides, games and other family fun with the main attraction to create an exciting time for all ages at AutoZone Park in Downtown Memphis. Stay for the Redbirds Game (1:05 p.m. start) Come to the race and stay for the game!  Labor Day is Fan Appreciation Day for the Redbirds.  Make it a day downtown and stay to watch the Redbirds play the Oklahoma RedHawks.  The game begins at 1:05 p.m. and all race participants are eligible for a free game ticket.  Enjoy the day's activities for just $20 per person (family rates available)! The Chick-fil-A 5K is a sanctioned event of the Memphis Runners Track Club and runs under its supervision. YMCA facilities throughout Memphis are offering a Fitness Challenge to help runners prepare for the event.  The Downtown YMCA will also be open for runners to shower and change after the race.
